How to preserve a flower in a journal?

I have picked a number of wild flower to focus my thoughts on nature, self awareness and colours like red are my anger, red for love and valentines. green my envy, jealousy, green the land. Blue my communication. The Universe and the sea.
Any other help would be appreciated.
