I am due to have general anesthetic in a weeks time but I have now developed a cold, will I be ok to go ahead?

I have had the sore throat, tickly cough and now at the stuffed up runny nose stage, Op has been cancelled twice, would like to get it over and donw with before xmas, Any ideas?
